Yarmouth Expansion: Warehouse Upgrades and New Kitchen Showrooms Coming Soon! Hancock Lumber is reinvesting in our stores to create a better customer experience.
Phase 1 Progress: Yarmouth Warehouse Project
Late this summer we were under construction with phase one of the Yarmouth warehouse project. No small feat, but we moved our logistics and delivery teams temporarily to the Brunswick store as we added exterior storage and overhangs to our current warehouse in Yarmouth. Our logistics team did an amazing job as we temporarily moved our operations to Brunswick, and we appreciate our customers’ support along the way!
The exciting, multi-phase project includes the following upgrades:
- Increased outdoor, covered storage
- Re-siding and re-roofing the warehouse
- Upgraded wireless network to help power YardPro customer service tools
- Complete gut and reorganization of the warehouse interior to improve customer flow and product organization
- NEW Hancock Kitchen Design Center across the street at 18 Yarmouth Crossing Drive
Next year we will undergo a major renovation of the warehouse interior, pouring a new floor and redesigning the layout. The customer experience will improve dramatically, as we create a better shopping experience for customers picking up product at that yard.
Two New Kitchen Design Showrooms Opening Soon!
We are also excited to announce our plans to open two new kitchen design showrooms in Yarmouth and Windham! Our teams have been busy designing and planning the new spaces and we can’t wait to share these resource centers with you and your homeowner customers. Located diagonally across from the lumberyard at 18 Yarmouth Crossing Drive, the Yarmouth kitchen design showroom will be opening in December, while the Windham space will open in January 2019. Please keep your eyes out for an invitation to our grand opening events, and share this exciting news with your customers!
