Hancock Location: Bethel Sawmill
Last night, the Bethel Sawmill welcomed 32 firefighters from six neighboring towns for an after-hours facility tour designed to strengthen collaboration and preparedness. Attendees learned more about the mill’s operations, including fire suppression systems, the sawdust silo, evacuation procedures, facility layout, and key emergency contacts.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for local first responders to become familiar with the site before ever needing to respond to an emergency, helping build confidence and stronger working relationships between Hancock Lumber and the communities we serve.
A special thank you goes to Keith Trask, Joe Worthley, and Kylen Mays, who dedicated their evening to leading tours, sharing their expertise, and answering questions throughout the event. Their commitment to safety, professionalism, and community partnership played a key role in making the evening a success.
