In late May, Hancock Lumber proudly celebrated the Grand Reopening of its Brunswick facility—marking a major reinvestment in both the customer and employee experience in Midcoast Maine.
From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, customers, vendor partners, community members, and Team Hancock gathered on-site for an afternoon of connection, celebration, and a firsthand look at the newly transformed location.

The event kicked off with open networking, food, and live chainsaw demonstrations from Sheridan Doyle, who also provided the same service on the original opening of the Hancock location back in 2004. Guests enjoyed a great lineup of local food trucks—including Dave’s Backyard BBQ, L/A Tacos, and Mow’s Munchies—while exploring the updated yard and connecting with Hancock team members and vendor partners who help make projects possible every day.

The Brunswick facility represents more than just a physical upgrade—it reflects Hancock Lumber’s ongoing commitment to listening to our employees, improving, and investing in both people and process. During the design phase, employee feedback played a key role in shaping the layout and experience of the space, ensuring the new facility supports both productivity and well-being.
Throughout construction, the Brunswick location remained open for business—which is no small feat. Their dedication ensured customers continued to receive the service they rely on, even as improvements were underway. These reinvestments were made with a clear goal: to better serve the growing needs of builders and homeowners in the region while creating an unmatched experience for employees and customers alike.
The celebration concluded with remarks from Hancock Lumber President & CEO Paul Wainman and Chief Operating Officer Mark Hopkins, followed by an official ribbon cutting at the front of the store led by Chief Innovation & Strategy Officer Mike Hall.

This project would not have been possible without the many partners who supported the transformation. From construction and engineering teams to supplier and vendor partners, the success of this facility reflects a true team effort.
