Kevin Hancock Delivers Keynote at the 2014 Sebago Summit

Kevin Hancock, 2014 Sebago Summit, keynoteOCTOBER 14, 2014 – Kevin Hancock, President and CEO of Hancock Lumber Company, captivated the 2014 Sebago Summit audience during his keynote speech held at St. Joseph’s College. The Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce launched this event last year, with a focus on local businesses growing and sharing together. Kevin brought an exciting energy and perspective to this year’s “Power in Partnership” theme, sharing his personal lean journey and its positive impact on his business, family, and community relationships.  Highlights from the day were the concept of transcending the grindstone and 4 key points to improve performance and reduce work:

  1. Everyone leads!
  2. Eliminate waste!
  3. Give away power!
  4. Re-invest added capacity to LIVE more!

Attendees got an early look at a new project Kevin has been working on, a book he is writing about his travels to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota and his own personal growth throughout the journey. Click to learn more about Kevin’s time at Pine Ridge and the non-profit organization he has established.
