Team Hancock is proud to celebrate the career of Don Allard, who is retiring after 29 years of commitment and service with Hancock Lumber.

Don first joined the company on August 29, 1996 as an Outside Sales Rep at our Windham location. Over the years, his career grew alongside the company—moving to the Yarmouth store in 1999 and into an Account Manager role in 2000. Don then earned a promotion to Estimator in 2003. In 2018, Don transitioned to part‑time, continuing to support the team with the same reliability and professionalism he’s always been known for.
Throughout near three decades at Hancock Lumber, Don built lasting relationships with customers and teammates alike. His deep product knowledge, steady approach, and commitment to doing things the right way made him a trusted resource across multiple roles and locations. Whether working directly with customers or supporting projects behind the scenes, Don’s contributions reflect the long‑career mindset and people‑first values that define Team Hancock.
Don Allard joined Hancock Lumber as an experienced Account Manager. He immediately brought value to the team and has been doing so ever since. When Hancock Lumber created an estimating department, Don recognized that his experience in both building construction management and material supply would serve him well in becoming an estimator and expand the value he brought to the team. Don has a strong approach backed by years of industry experience and knowledge that has added tremendous value to our sellers and sales process.
—Purchasing Manager, Harland Storey

As Don begins this next chapter, we thank him for his 29 years of dedication, growth, and loyalty to Hancock Lumber. We wish him all the best in retirement and are grateful for the legacy he leaves behind.
