Jugtown Forest Ceremonial Ribbon Cutting

2012_May_JugtownRibbonCutting

Company president, Kevin Hancock, cuts the ceremonial ribbon with brother Matt Hancock.

5,000 acres with miles of marked trails now officially open to the public for recreation and nature exploration in Casco, Naples and Otisfield, Maine.

Hancock Lumber held what might have been “the most overdue ribbon-cutting ceremony in American history”, according to landowner Kevin Hancock. This event was held to reflect some great additions Hancock Lumber recently made  including trail markers, maps, trail head entry kiosks and parking areas to help people responsibly navigate the land.

Learn more about this event, our working forests and download your own trail map on our Jugtown Forest page!

Read this great article from The Lakes Region Weekly  about Jugtown Forest and accessing land close to home.
