Hancock Lumber’s Bethel Sawmill Hosts Employee Day

Bethel Family Day

On a beautiful summer day in June, our Bethel Sawmill hosted a family day for employees and their loved ones. Over 100 family members joined Team Hancock for a day of tours, games, food, raffles, and more! Bethel Sawmill General Manager, Keith Trask, created an amazing opportunity to bring families to the mill for a first-hand look “behind the scenes” of the operations that happen on site every day.

“Building off the success and popularity of the family ice fishing derby this past winter, the management team decided to plan a day to showcase our mill. The Bethel Mill hosts scores of tours for local school children, countless organizations, and the general public, but we have never opened it up to friends and family members with direct ties to the mill. We held off until school vacation had started to ensure maximum participation for family members of all ages! The day was a great success, and we hope to plan more events in the future.”

—Keith Trask, Bethel Sawmill General Manager

The event was a resounding success, bringing everyone together for a memorable day of fun and learning. The event was not only a unique opportunity for families to see the inner workings of the mill, but also a great way to strengthen the sense of community and appreciation among the team. We look forward to supporting future events like this and others for the members of Team Hancock throughout the company.
