Eric Dolloff Elected President of Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine | Hancock Lumber is proud to announce the election of Eric Dolloff as President of the Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine (RLDAM). A Hancock employee for 20 years, Eric began his career at our Windham location as a shipper and has moved through the business with a variety of roles in Windham, Kennebunk, and Damariscotta. Today, Eric serves as our Damariscotta General Manager, a position he’s held since October 2006.

Eric has served on the RLDAM board of directors since 2011 and has been an active advocate for the lumber and building materials industry as a member of the Association’s legislative and education committees. In addition to serving as President, Dolloff will represent RLDAM as a director on the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association’s (NRLA) board of directors – a post that several Hancock leaders have held including Kevin Hancock and his late father, David Hancock.  The NRLA represents more than 1,100 members in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States.

“It is a great honor and privilege to serve as President of the RLDAM.  I look forward to promoting the interests and betterment of our industry in this capacity,” Dolloff commented.  “I’m also very excited for the opportunity to work side by side with both owners and managers of several great lumber dealers across the state.  The RLDAM serves our industry on several fronts, including legislative affairs and educational topics.  I’m very grateful that Hancock Lumber has allowed me the time to serve on the board and I look forward to the opportunities the next two years will bring.”

What is the Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine?

Established in 1933, the RLDAM has 100-member locations and represents independent lumber and building material dealers, manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, and other associated businesses in Maine. Most members are family-owned and multi-generational businesses that support their communities and drive the State’s economy.

“Eric’s strong retail leadership background coupled with his composed style has made him a great asset to the RLDAM board,” said David Gluck, NRLA’s Regional Director. “We look forward to working with him in the coming years to help strategically provide value to Maine members.”

Dolloff officially accepted the position during the RLDAM’s Annual Meeting at the Omni Mount Washington Resort on October 19. On behalf of Team Hancock, please join us in congratulating Eric on his appointment to President of the RLDAM.
