SAFETY: Hancock Lumber’s #1 Priority

Communicating our core values: Hancock Lumber kicked off 2018 with a refreshed mission and values statement. Through a weekly series here on our blog, we will be communicating our 7 core values that define our culture. Simply put, culture is who we are and how we work, and we love the long-term nature of our business partnerships with co-workers, customers, and vendors. We believe that when you share your values and goals broadly, you are able to connect on a deeper level . Thank you for listening and being a part of Team Hancock!

Safety. Undoubtedly, safety is our #1 priority and it is everyone’s responsibility-every minute of every day. No task or performance goal is so important that safety should be jeopardized in order to accomplish it. Work place safety is an absolute team sport. Check out the short video below highlighting safety, our #1 core value at Hancock Lumber!

“An organization’s true value is not defined by revenue growth or profitability. Those are important metrics for our business, but they are outcomes of a higher purpose. The mission is to add real value to the people’s lives who work here.”

–Kevin Hancock, President + CEO
