Damariscotta Store Hosted 6th Annual Family Fun Night!

Forest Hancock, Crusher Red Claw, Santa ClausLast week our Damariscotta store hosted their 6th annual Family Fun Night at our store on 362 Main Street! A Hancock holiday tradition, the Damariscotta team entertained local families with mascot appearances from Forest Hancock, Crusher the Red Claw, and even Santa Claus himself.  The team presented special 1-night only hardware store sale items, raffle prize giveaways including LL Bean gift cards, Portland Pirate tickets, Red Claw tickets, and Hancock gear, offered craft projects and cookie decorating for the kids, all while families feasted on pizza, sandwiches, and hot cocoa. A special thank you to our partners at The Maine Red Claws for allowing Crusher to continue to be a part of this great family event!

Forest Hancock and Crusher from the Red Claws enjoying Family Fun NightOur Damariscotta store general manager, Eric Dolloff, commented on the event, “Our store’s family fun night has become a community favorite.  Our employees enjoy hosting this event and getting into the holiday spirit with customers and community members! We hope to keep the tradition going a long time – it’s been a great event for six years running.” Team Hancock looks forward to hosting this event every year and does a great job putting together a family oriented holiday event.  Kids light up each year seeing Santa, Forest and Crusher and enjoy decorating cookies and making crafts. Hancock Lumber is committed to being connected to the communities it does business in and we are proud to continue with this tradition of our Family Fun Night in the Midcoast.

Hancock Lumber’s business philosophy is about stewardship. Each of us is a caretaker of the Hancock tradition of excellence and commitment to the community. Our collective job is to leave Hancock Lumber in better shape than it was when we found it out of respect for those who have gone before us and for the benefit of those who shall follow.
