Jen Berger

Kitchen Designer
Team Hancock Since February 2026Location: Hancock Lumber Kitchen Design Showroom Saco

Jen discovered the joy of design in high school and went on to earn her degree in architecture at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. Over the course of two decades working in Maine as a drafter and estimator, she spent time with builders and clients creating beautiful homes.
Jen took time away from her career to homeschool her children—and, after her youngest reached high school, she was able to return to her love of design. Jen discovered that kitchen design gives her the ability to blend both her creative side and engineering mind in pursuit of elegant, yet functional solutions. She loves working with both builders and homeowners to explore different styles and colors, while paying attention to the details. When not at work, Jen loves to go for walks, spend time with family, and visit Boston whenever she can.
“From drafting homes to designing the heart of the home, I love helping people create a special place that brings family + friends together, and brings them joy.” —Jen Berger

Jenny Edwards
Home Office Caretaker
Location: Home Office

The Home Office team is excited to announce Jenny Edwards as the 2025 Employee of the Year! Jenny is someone people rarely see, but who impacts everyone in the Home Office. Even though she is here when the rest of us are not, her impact is significant—she ensures that the space we spend our day in is clean, cared for, and a place where we can do our best work.
Jenny’s very best work, however, is with her heart. She is kind, attentive, and quietly delivers. She has been overheard sharing that she makes sure the chairs are pushed in, because it is the extra touch that helps when people arrive each day. She has been known to leave notes of kindness to others and is a true example of helping others feel “seen.” She is a role model for all in this regard, and much can be learned from her example. It is our pleasure to nominate Jenny and express our gratitude for the way she lifts up the entire team. Congratulations Jenny—we are thrilled to celebrate you as our Employee of the Year!
