Hancock Lumber Partners with Olympic Hopeful Kate Hall

Kate Hall after winning the 2019 Track + Field Championship with a jump of 21′ 4 1/4″!

Hancock Lumber recently partnered with Olympic hopeful—and Casco native—Kate Hall on her quest for gold at the 2020 Olympic games. Kate is an American track and field athlete specializing in long jump and sprint. A decorated athlete, Kate is the national high school record-holder in the long jump, a two-time NCAA champion in the event, and this year’s national indoor titlist—her first title as a Pro. Summer competition took her to Europe, and back to Iowa in July for the US Championships. Stay tuned for US results.

Kate Hall Portrait

A hometown hero, Kate is the first to engage with her community and remember her roots. In 2018, Kate joined the St. Joseph’s College track and field coaching staff, and served as the Casco Days’ parade Grand Marshall a few years ago. Our community is beyond proud of Kate’s accomplishments and we all wish her the best in this next endeavor as she chases her Olympic dream!

Kate has found time to sit down and reflect on her roots and ongoing journey. Kate writes, “Do everything you can to stay happy, healthy, and stress free. And always learn from your hardships, it makes a difference in the end.” Kate wondered why more elite athletes had not opened up about their journeys and was inspired to start sharing hers! You can read more about Kate’s experiences on her blog!

A true woman to watch here in Maine, join us in supporting Kate Hall as she works to earn a spot on the 2020 Olympic Team. Check out our community page to learn more and to follow Kate’s journey. Hancock Lumber is proud to be on TEAM KATE as she represents our state and hometown of Casco.
