Hancock Lumber Now Carrying Made-in-Maine Snow Shovels!

MtWaldoPlasticsLogo-Transparent-e1444794861963

Pink_ShovelsHancock Lumber is now carrying Made-in-Maine snow shovels, but these are not your ordinary snow removal tools…these are the Maine snow shovel “Snofighters”!  Manufactured at Mt. Waldo Plastics in Winterport, the founding team’s goal was to build a snow shovel tough enough for a hard, Maine winter. The team put hundreds of hours of research into finding the best design for a snow shovel, and they came up with the “Snofighter.” In addition to its sleek, attractive design, the Snofighter is the best shovel on the market for a number of reasons.

Designed by Mainers, it is lightweight, so it reduces the strain put on the users’ back and arms when shoveling. It has a large handle that makes it easy to grip, and the scoop portion of the shovel is made of hard, durable plastic that doesn’t crack, even when used on wet, heavy snow.

Shovel_ActionBut, there is more to these Maine snow shovels than just form and function!  For every Pink Snofighter purchased, $2 are donated to Eastern Maine Medical Center’s cancer research center – $1 from Hancock Lumber and $1 from Mt. Waldo Plastics. Last year, Mt. Waldo Plastics donated over $10,000 to Eastern Maine Medical Center’s “Champion the Cure Challenge” in their name.

Show your support and complete your arsenal of winter essentials by purchasing your pink Snofighter today at your local Hancock Lumber!
