HBSDealer Names Kristy Beaulieu to the 2026 Class of Top Women in Hardware & Building Supply

Earlier this month, HBSDealer Magazine announced its 2026 Top Women in Hardware & Building Supply honorees. We are proud to share that Hancock Lumber’s Kristy Beaulieu, Compensation & Benefits Compliance Manager, was selected as a winner in the Business Excellence category. Kristy was recognized among an impressive group of industry leaders from across the country who are helping shape the future of the hardware, lumber, and building materials industry. The award recognizes leaders who have demonstrated achievement, growth, and success in the hardware and home improvement industry,  embraced education and community service, and inspired others to follow a similar path.

Kristy has been part of Team Hancock for more than 11 years, playing a vital role in supporting our people, strengthening our systems, and helping guide the company through significant growth and change. While much of her work happens behind the scenes, the impact of that work is felt every day by employees across Hancock Lumber. From payroll and benefits administration, to compliance, reporting, policy implementation, and retirement plan management, Kristy brings a level of expertise, dedication, and care that helps keep Hancock Lumber running smoothly.

Team Hancock’s Human Resources Business Partner, John Muzzy, had this to say about Kristy:

“Kristy has had a profound impact at Hancock Lumber in her 11 years. The company has grown considerably during her tenure and she was an essential part of that process each time. Whenever laws or policies change, Kristy has taken the wheel to understand those changes at a very high level and figure out how to incorporate those changes into Hancock Lumber. Her knowledge of systems and reporting, mixed with her efficiency in getting answers, really does make it seem like she can get you the answer to any question you have. So often, the only thing visible to us is the end result of a lot of hard work, not actually the hard work itself. Payroll/benefits, federal or state policy changes, 401K plan management, the list goes on. These are essential things for our employees and they don’t just ‘happen.’ A lot of time, energy, and expertise go into managing these processes.

What makes Kristy so worthy of this award is not specifically her ability to perform several functions at an incredibly high level—it’s her ability to do that while also being kind, understanding, welcoming, and patient. Being the one so many turn to for answers can be flattering, yet also overwhelming. She handles it gracefully and genuinely wants to help people.”

Kristy joins a growing list of Hancock Lumber team members who have been recognized by HBSDealer through the Top Women program. Previous honorees include Augusta General Manager, Laura Bower; Kennebunk General Manager, Terrie McDaniel; Hancock Online General Manager, Kourtney McLean; and North Conway General Manager, Stasha MacDougall. They are great examples of the amazing talent and leadership found across Team Hancock.

From all of us at Team Hancock, congratulations Kristy on this well-deserved honor. Thank you for your leadership, expertise, and unwavering commitment to our people. We are incredibly proud to see you recognized among the industry’s top professionals and look forward to celebrating this achievement with you later this year in Chicago.
