Building strong communities starts long before a foundation is poured or the first board is set. It begins with opportunity—and for many children, that starts with access to books.

That’s why we’re proud to partner with Team Long Run in donating $10,000 in support of their Barclay’s Book Fun early literacy program. This initiative is all about getting books into the hands of young readers to spark curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
For many families, access to books isn’t guaranteed. Programs like Barclay’s Book Fun help bridge that gap and foster moments of discovery, imagination, and connection through the simple, yet powerful act of reading. The impact goes far beyond the pages of a book. It supports early development and sets kids up for success in school and beyond.
At Hancock Lumber, being involved in our communities means investing in the people and programs that make a lasting difference. We’re grateful to Team Long Run for the work they do every day and proud to support their efforts to bring more books—and more opportunity—to children across our communities.
