Recognizing and celebrating our people is one of our favorite things to do! Every year Team Hancock honors an ‘Employee of the Year’ for each Hancock location, and we are excited to announce the 2025 recipients. Congratulations to all of those being recognized for their hard work, loyalty, positive attitudes and commitment to our culture! Employee of the Year: Dominic Moore

Congratulations to Dominic Moore, Augusta’s 2025 Employee of the Year! Dominic is someone who embodies flexibility, teamwork and unwavering dedication. He has stepped up time and time again to fill key roles across the company, while willingly wearing many hats and doing whatever is needed to keep our team running smoothly.
Whether its covering multiple jobs, assisting coworkers, or lending a hand without being asked, he approaches every task with joy, thoughtfulness and a genuine desire to help. His positive attitude and readiness to support anyone at any time make him an invaluable part of our Hancock family.

Employee of the Year: Dalton Demers
Congratulations to Dalton Demers, the 2025 Employee of the Year for Bridgton! Dalton is a dazzling rare gem, even among so many highly valued jewels here in Bridgton. He possesses an indomitable positive spirit and unwavering commitment to teamwork. One of his teammates describes Dalton as a “very hard worker, always bright and energetic, and makes whatever group he’s working with feel more alive. He’s very talented behind the wheel—loading the truck and working around the yard. He absolutely embodies employee of the year qualities.” And the Bridgton team couldn’t agree more—we are all blessed to have him as one of our own. Congratulations, Dalton!

Hancock Location: Brunswick
Employee of the Year: Sean Luce

It is with tremendous pride that Brunswick nominates Sean Luce for the 2025 Employee of the Year. Sean began his Hancock Lumber journey at the Saco location in January 2022, diving into each role with humility, determination, and a genuine desire to learn the business. His ability to master new responsibilities and support those around him quickly showed us the type of leader he was becoming.
When Sean stepped into the Inventory Manager role in Brunswick in May of 2023, he didn’t just take on a job, he elevated it. He became a trusted voice, steady presence, and teammate people naturally turn to. Sean consistently brings out the best in others, and his leadership has made a significant impact on our culture.
During the Brunswick reconstruction, Sean rose to the occasion. He helped guide the team through uncertainty and change by ensuring we stayed focused, supported, and united as we transitioned into our new building. While doing this, he continued to mentor new people, assist anyone needing help, and embody what servant leadership truly means.
Sean’s dedication, heart, and commitment to our collective success are an important part of what makes Brunswick special. We are grateful for all he brings to this team, and are honored to recognize him.

Employee of the Year: Erik Coolbroth
The Casco Retail & Bargain Barn Team is thrilled to announce Erik Coolbroth as Employee of the Year for 2025! Since joining the team in June of 2022, Erik has consistently gone above and beyond in every aspect of his work.
One of Erik’s commendable attributes is his unwavering dedication to excellence in customer service. He consistently produces high-quality work and takes on new challenges with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Erik embodies our core values of teamwork, integrity, and safety. He consistently demonstrates a willingness to collaborate with others, and a drive for continuous improvement. His kindness and willingness to help makes him someone others turn to when they need a helping hand.
Not only does Erik excel in his individual contributions, but he also shows genuine care for his work environment and his fellow teammates by going out of his way to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the team. Erik is truly a Hancock Lumber brand ambassador and vital member of the team. You simply cannot visit Casco Retail without hearing him laughing and joking while getting the job done.

Employee of the Year: Jeff Myles

Jeff Myles has been chosen as the 2025 Employee of the Year for 2025 for the Damariscotta lumberyard! Jeff joined Team Hancock in September 2018 and has been a joy to work with ever since. He is one of the hardest working, consistent, and just all-around great personalities in the business. Jeff has blessed the Damariscotta store with his presence for the last seven years and it has been an honor to work alongside him. Congratulations, Jeff, and thank you for all you do!

Employee of the Year: Jenny Edwards
The Home Office team is excited to announce Jenny Edwards as the 2025 Employee of the Year! Jenny is someone people rarely see, but who impacts everyone in the Home Office. Even though she is here when the rest of us are not, her impact is significant—she ensures that the space we spend our day in is clean, cared for, and a place where we can do our best work.
Jenny’s very best work, however, is with her heart. She is kind, attentive, and quietly delivers. She has been overheard sharing that she makes sure the chairs are pushed in, because it is the extra touch that helps when people arrive each day. She has been known to leave notes of kindness to others and is a true example of helping others feel “seen.” She is a role model for all in this regard, and much can be learned from her example. It is our pleasure to nominate Jenny and express our gratitude for the way she lifts up the entire team. Congratulations Jenny—we are thrilled to celebrate you as our Employee of the Year!

Employee of the Year: Devin Harding

The team in Kennebunk is thrilled to recognize Devin Harding as their 2025 Employee of the Year! This honor is especially meaningful because Devin was promoted to Account Manager earlier this year after starting out in the yard several years ago. From building loads and learning the ins and outs of the operations to now managing accounts and building strong customer relationships, Devin has shown what hard work, dedication, and growth look like.
Devin’s teammates have this to say about him:

Employee of the Year: Josh Pelkey
Mainely Trusses would like to announce Josh Pelkey as the 2025 Employee of the Year! Josh is the example of a perfect driver. He is dependable, his driving and safety skills are top notch, and he is always striving to make customers happy and help do what’s needed at the time of delivery. Josh does a lot of crane work that can be the nitty gritty of the job and does it in an amazing fashion, with safety and accuracy in mind. Josh is exactly the kind of person anyone would want out on the road working with customers and sales teams. He is a great Mainely Trusses representative and member of Team Hancock! Josh stands out because of all the amazing qualities he has, making him a great Driver Pro and even better person. Congratulations and well deserved!

Employee of the Year: Matt Fuller

The North Conway team would like to congratulate Matt Fuller as our Employee of the Year for 2025. Matt is a Driver Pro who knows what needs to be done and takes initiative to get it done. He makes deliveries in whatever truck is needed that day. Matt speaks up when things aren’t right, whether with his vehicle or something he observes. He never needs to be asked to help out and he takes the initiative in the yard when deliveries are slow by helping customers and cleaning up. He focuses on customer service at jobsites and does whatever is needed to accommodate our contractors, while keeping safety a top priority. Matt is a hard worker, who prioritizes the customers and his fellow employees in North Conway. Congratulations Matt!

Employee of the Year: Mark Sylvester
Congratulations to Mark Sylvester for earning the employee of the year award for the Retail Operations Center. Mark has excelled in the newly created role in purchasing and is responsible for helping our lumberyards improve their merchandising and further develop and support our vendor programs. While much of his time was spent in Salisbury and Brunswick this year, he was also able to have meaningful impacts in several other locations and is looking forward to expanding the impact in 2026. Mark’s enthusiasm and expertise in merchandising, along with his Hancock Lumber experience, provides energy and expertise in supporting our twelve retail locations. He is truly committed to making meaningful contributions and connections that strengthen Team Hancock. Congratulations, Mark!

Employee of the Year: Brian Picard

The Saco team honors Brian Picard as the 2025 Employee of the Year! Brian has distinguished himself this year through unwavering reliability, hard work, and a strong commitment to both safety and customer satisfaction. He is known for consistently delivering high-quality results, approaching every task with dedication + integrity, and ensuring that deadlines are met and standards are exceeded.
Brian is a safety-conscious team member. He not only follows all procedures diligently, but also helps create a culture of awareness and accountability. Equally impressive is his customer-centric mindset—always going the extra mile to understand and meet customer needs, and ensuring that every interaction reflects Hancock Lumber’s values of professionalism and care.

The team in Salisbury has the great honor of announcing George Bruneau as their 2025 Employee of the Year! George is an amazing team player and takes great pride in his high level of customer service. George is always willing to help anyone, at any time. Whether that be in the store, the yard, or with a customer, he jumps in with no hesitation. George leads by example and adds incredible value to the Salisbury team. Employee of the Year: Maggie Small

Tiny Homes of Maine congratulates Maggie Small as the 2025 Employee of the Year! Maggie is a natural problem solver who stays curious, asks great questions, and is quick to learn anything that helps the team or the customer.
Her fun, engaging personality makes her enjoyable to work with and she brings energy and positivity to support the team in whatever way she can. She is resourceful and open to trying new things—and, even if she doesn’t know the answer, she’s determined to figure it out!
Customer support is where she truly shines. She guides people through the tiny home process with kindness, patience, and a deep understanding of needs, ensuring that each customer is heard and supported from initial inquiry to final delivery. Many customers mention how much they appreciate her warmth, honesty, and genuine care.
With rich experience across sales, production, customer communication, and countless behind-the-scenes tasks, she has developed an understanding and ability to solve problems quickly, anticipate needs, and support every part of our operation. Patrick’s attendance and punctuality are exceptional. He arrives each day ready to work, rarely calls out, and reliably fulfills every responsibility entrusted to him. He ensures that daily operations are smooth and efficient, directly contributing to timely, accurate, and dependable service for the customers.

Employee of the Year: Matt Baumann

Wolfeboro would congratulates Matt Baumann as their 2025 Employee of the Year! Matt joined Team Hancock in 2023 and has been a valuable member to the team ever since. Matt can often be seen interacting with both his fellow employees and customers, building key relationships every day. Never one to go without lending a hand, Matt is quick to help whenever needed and continually demonstrates his aptitude for hard work. He is always one to take on any task handed his way without complaint and carries them out to the best of his ability. Congratulations Matt!

Employee of the Year: Kyle Golding
Yarmouth is pleased to announce Kyle Golding as the 2025 Employee of the Year! In the short time Kyle has been with Hancock Lumber, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to dedication and hard work. He’s always willing to help wherever needed, has a wealth of knowledge, and has stepped up to mentor and train new coworkers. Kyle has a great attitude, is a pleasure to work with and makes coming to work fun. Many customers have commented on his willingness to help. Congratulations on this well deserved recognition Kyle!

Employee of the Year: Tom Andexler

Congratulations to Tom Andexler, the 2025 Employee of the Year for the Bethel Mill. Tom started working for Hancock Lumber in September 2004. Most of that time, Tom has spent running the shavings bagger. He is known as a very reliable, hard-working individual who excels at all his job functions and is aways willing to put in extra effort. His knowledge, patience, and input are invaluable when troubleshooting issues that come up on the job. Tom has quiet confidence that comes from processing millions of shavings bags and running equipment for tens of thousands of hours—few people gain the level of equipment and processes expertise that Tom has in the bagger house. Congratulations Tom on being this year’s employee of the year recipient!

Employee of the Year: Logan Millett
Congratulations to Logan Millett, Casco Sawmill’s 2025 Employee of the Year! Logan has been part of team Hancock for over eight years and has made an impact on almost every department in Casco. Logan started in the Planer Mill in July 2017 and picked up on all operations very quickly. In his time with the team, he’s been an amazing role model for all employees, positively affecting everyone in one way or another. His skills and knowledge are exceptional and he’s been a huge part of the team’s success over the years. Anything that Logan does, he does wholeheartedly and with intense effort. He will never shy away from a challenge and lives by the code of “leave it better than you found it.” On top of all of this, he has had many years here with perfect attendance. In the past year we developed a new quality role to help move our team make operational improvements. Logan has taken this new challenge and run with it, performing grade checks daily which, in turn, has helped our team focus on the most critical items in our operation. Logan is someone Casco can count on for absolutely anything and the team is grateful to have him. Well deserved and congrats Logan!

Employee of the Year: Mark Plamondon

Congratulations to Mark Plamondon, the Pittsfield Mill’s 2025 Employee of the Year recipient! Mark is a poster child for the Hancock Lumber Pittsfield Finished Yard. Mark Started off in Pittsfield almost five years ago where he quickly was willing to do anything someone encouraged or asked him to do. He is still just as eager today always showing up with a positive, can-do attitude. Today, you will find Mark driving our oldest Selick 120 on site, which he has named “Hermon.” Mark is here every day, going the extra mile to make sure customers’ trucks are loaded. Mark is efficient at multi-tasking when pulling orders, putting away stock, and loading trucks. Outside of work, Mark’s passion is spending time with his family, while being a staple in the Pittsfield community for the past 30 years. Thank you, Mark, for all that you do, and the customers you help service!
Hancock Location: White Pine Operations Center
Employee of the Year: Syd Rouleau
The White Pine Operations Center is pleased to announce Syd Rouleau as their 2025 Employee of the Year! Syd has a very easy-going personality, great work ethic, and tackles any task that is asked of him. For many years, Syd’s official role was log scaling, but he can run all the rolling stock on site, operate the log crane, and wheel loaders with the best of them. He has been the perfect fit for the team this past year, with a great work ethic and little to no direction needed to stay busy. Syd has received numerous compliments from various people in his location while always being pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. The team is extremely honored to have Syd as part of their operations and congratulates him on being named the 2025 Employee of the Year!
