Hancock Lumber and Bright Wood have been partners since 2019 with Hancock Lumber supplying their company with eastern white pine boards. Based in Oregon and distributing products nationally, Bright Wood® is a top-tier manufacturer of wood window and door components, mouldings, and engineered dimensional lumber.
Since 2019, Bright Wood has purchased Hancock Pine and re-manufactured those low grade eastern white pine products into window components. Eventually those products are sold to window manufacturers such as Marvin and Andersen where made-in-Maine components then come full circle to be used as windows and doors for building projects throughout Maine and New Hampshire.
Tim Stovall, Lumber Buyer and Operations Manager at Bright Wood, shared why their company chooses Hancock Lumber Eastern White Pine for their products, “When we decided to expand our business into Eastern White, Hancock was an established, highly recognized company we felt would be a great potential partner.” Tim continued discussing their long-standing partnership, “Consistent quality and shipping on-time has been impeccable, making Hancock Lumber a reliable program. The leadership and commitment to their people and long-term vision is something needed in today’s market.”

Hancock’s Chief Sales Officer- White Pine, Matt Duprey, explains the importance of the Bright Wood partnership, “The Bright Wood relationship is very important to Hancock Lumber—they purchase low grade pine boards and re-manufacture into high-value window and door parts. When we first started doing business with Bright Wood, there was no doubt that we were excited at the chance to supply a world-class manufacturer of window and door parts. They demand the highest quality substrate to make their products and we’re proud it’s our Hancock Pine.”
One of the most unique aspects of our relationship with Bright Wood is the journey of our Eastern White Pine products. Once our log suppliers bring raw lumber to our mills, it is milled and processed into our world class boards. Those boards are then shipped to the Oregon Bright Wood facility, where their team begins to make their window and door components. Those parts are then utilized by two of our top selling window brands, Andersen and Marvin, to make world-class window and door products. This full-circle use of our pine is another reason why Hancock Lumber chooses to do business with amazing organizations like Bright Wood.

“It is a great symbiotic relationship that all starts with our own Eastern White Pine! I have visited their plant in Madras and it is totally amazing,” Matt Duprey commented. “We are blessed to do business with the Stovall family who are world-class business leaders and people.”
Team Hancock is proud to be connected with Bright Wood and to have Hancock Pine used in the manufacturing of windows and doors by two of the industry’s leading brands.
