Tiny Homes of Maine Continues Increasing Production with Hancock Lumber

At the beginning of January, Corey, one of our Yarmouth Driver Pros, made the trek up Interstate 95 to make a special delivery to our Tiny Homes of Maine facility in Dyer Brook. Among the many products included on this delivery was Hancock Pre-Finished Pine made at our Casco Mill and stained at our Hancock ProFinish facility at the same site.

General Manager Corinne Watson and Design + Production Manager Tom Small could not be more excited about using Hancock Pine that’s been professionally pre-finished. “Unlike the time-consuming process of hand sanding and staining each board individually, Hancock Pre-Finished Pine boards offer a far more efficient solution!” Watson shared. “These boards are not only more durable and easier to clean, but their pre-finished surface also speeds up installation, allowing you to complete your project much faster while still achieving a beautiful, long-lasting finish.”

Dan Wetmore, our Casco Mill General Manager, also weighed in on this special delivery, “Those boards have been touched by a Hancock Lumber employee in every step of the process—from log to wall. This is a pretty cool milestone and we’re excited to have Hancock Pine in every Tiny Home we make moving forward!”

Hancock Lumber partnered with Tiny Homes of Maine following the October 2024 acquisition. Since then, the teams have collaborated on supply chain efficiencies, product purchases, IT integrations and more. We’ve hit the ground running in 2025 as the team continues to integrate lean manufacturing into their process and works to build out three new stock Tiny Home models and introduce those to the market—stay tuned for more info on that coming soon!
