Hancock Hosting Employment Open House!

Ryefield Sawmill Hancock Hosting Employment Open House!

Stop by our employment open house and explore a career with Hancock Lumber on Thursday, August 10th from 1pm – 4pm. Our Ryefield sawmill in Casco will be hosting the event for potential employees who are interested in a sawmill job–tour the mill, complete an application, and learn more about the Hancock culture.

A proud recipient of the Best Places to Work in Maine award for 3 years in a row, and OSHA SHARP certified for safety, Hancock Lumber is looking for motivated, energetic, and driven people to join Team Hancock. Hancock Lumber is the largest manufacturer of Eastern White Pine in the world, and we proudly employ over 475 people right here in Maine.

Join us Thursday, August 10th from 1pm – 4pm at our Casco sawmill, 1260 Poland Spring Road, Casco, ME 04015.

Historical Mill PhotoEstablished in 1848, Hancock Lumber, a Maine building materials supply company, is a 6th generation, family-owned business operating a land company, a sawmill division and a network of retail lumberyards across Maine & New Hampshire including a 7,000 sq. ft. home design showroom, Home Again by Hancock Lumber in South Portland. Hanging on the wall in the company’s main office in Casco Village is an original copy of a hand-written contract dated October 4th, 1848 for the construction of a new mill for the grand sum of $840.  Family Business Magazine recognizes Hancock Lumber as the 71st oldest family business in America.
