Team Hancock Lends a Helping Hand at Casco Days!

Team Hancock Volunteers

Sawmill managers Dan Wetmore, Aaron Shulte, and Jonny Boutilier help run the Ferris Wheel on Thursday night

Team Hancock lends a helping hand at Casco Days | Since 1935, Casco Village has come alive with family fun, traditions, prizes, rides, and more! Every year, Hancock Lumber supports Casco Days, the 3-day festival that brings the surrounding communities together, creating lasting traditions and memories.

Beyond their sponsorship contribution, dozens of Team Hancock employees volunteer their time –from the Casco Fire Association board, to year-round planning and marketing, to event set up and equipment maintenance and operation, to midway management and running booths.

Thousands of visitors from near and far gather to enjoy this celebration in Casco with fireworks, midway games and rides, parades, a 4-mile road race, a live concert by Rick Charette, an incredible food booth, and more.

Hancock Lumber employees volunteer in many ways in communities around the state.  For our Casco sawmill and retail store, administrative office, Bridgton store, and former nearby locations, helping at Casco Days has been going on for many, many decades–and it is a family affair!  The three day festival raises money for the Casco Fire Association who owns all of the rides, including an antique carousel. Team Hancock is proud to foster a culture where employees are encouraged to give their time in the communities we serve. We hope to continue this tradition at Casco Days for another 80+ years.

We hope you will join the fun, ‘Always the Last Saturday in July’!
