Hancock Lumber named a 2015 Best Places to Work in Maine for the second year in a row!

BPTW_blog

For the 2nd year in a row, Hancock Lumber has been selected as one of the 2015 Best Places to Work in Maine! In 2015, only 75 Maine companies were selected based on survey rankings determined by Best Companies Group, an independent survey organization.  This statewide program identifies, recognizes, and honors the best places of employment in Maine with 75% of the ranking based on employee responses to the survey questions and 25% based on the Best Companies Group review of the nominating company’s benefits, policies and best practices.

Hancock Lumber’s Director of Human Resources, Wendy Scribner said when announcing this honor to employees, “Receiving this award is something we should all be extremely proud of!  Our admin office, retail stores, and sawmills collaborate and take a focused, discipline approach in order to be competitive and successful. We have a group of dedicated and passionate individuals who work unbelievably hard each day and rally together through challenges in pursuit of our common goals. We thank you for being committed to Team Hancock, our company, and to each other!”

Congratulations to all the other 2015 recipients (see complete list here)! We love working in Maine and are proud to be a part of the communities in which we serve.
