Pinus strobus, most commonly called Eastern White Pine, is a large
pine tree native to Eastern North America. Eastern White Pine has been a treasured resource in Maine since the 1600’s when the King of England claimed the tall and straight pines of New England for his Royal Navy. Maine even declared the Eastern White Pine as its state tree, and the pine cone and tassel as its 'state flower'! The tradition continues to this day as grown-in-Maine, made-in-Maine White Pine is sought after throughout North America and the world for its beauty, workability and durability.
Nothing’s greener than our Maine-grown, Maine-milled Eastern White Pine. Our three state-of-the-art sawmills, located in Casco, Bethel, and Pittsfield, Maine, manufacture approximately 87 million board feet of Eastern White Pine each year from forests where sustainable growth is the guiding principle. From tongue-and-groove to siding and trim, Hancock Lumber is your first choice for the finest quality Eastern White Pine.
