Located near the corner of Route 1 and Cascade Road, this site is the hub of continued economic development, is highly visible, and offers exceptional access to Scarborough, OOB, Biddeford and I-95. The newest location is our fifteenth, adding to our existing network of lumberyards + kitchen design showrooms, eastern white pine sawmills, truss manufacturing facility and home office. Hancock Lumber Saco will position the company to better serve all of our builders, remodelers and homeowners in southern Cumberland County and northern York County. For decades we have covered the market from Scarborough to Biddeford; however, a permanent presence with a dedicated store and sales team will improve our service to you, providing even greater access and faster deliveries into these markets.
“Hancock Lumber has been working with builders and homeowners in the greater Saco community for decades—our focus continues to be Southern and Coastal Maine, so this new Saco location is a perfect fit,” sixth generation family-member and President, Kevin Hancock, commented. “We aren’t trying to cover a state-wide or multi-state market. We are more interested in relationships, reinvestment, and excellence within the communities we already serve. Our new store will allow us to serve those clients even better and connect more broadly with the construction industry in the region.”
The new Saco store will better connect us geographically to our builders with a more contiguous presence in Southern Maine. We look forward to adding another location to better service current and prospective builders and have received a warm welcome from the City of Saco already.
“We are thrilled that Hancock Lumber has chosen Saco for their business expansion, featuring a new lumber yard and kitchen design showroom,” said Denise Clavette, Planning and Development Director for the City of Saco. “Hancock Lumber will be joining the development surge happening along our Route 1 opportunity zone, joining businesses representing multiple industries and sectors. This location will enable Hancock Lumber to better serve customers in Saco and the neighboring communities in York and Cumberland County. Welcome to Saco!”
