Why Buy Eastern White Pine from Hancock Lumber?

Today’s global marketplace presents a wide range of choices when it comes to wood products. Consumers are looking for the right product to suit their needs, but that “right” product might not be the least expensive choice. Eastern White Pine from Hancock Lumber is one of the best choices available on the market today. Read on to find out more.

Eastern White Pine (Pinus Strobus) grows only in the Northeastern United States, and presents attributes that competing products rarely match. The trees are harvested when they reach an age between 80 and 100 years old, to ensure that the end product is as straight and true today as it was when Eastern White Pine was first harvested during the 1600s. Keeping that rich history in mind, Hancock Lumber maintains three quality-oriented, customer-driven, state-of-the-art sawmills, and is committed to delivering a product that is the gold standard of all pine species.

Product Performance.

More than anything else today, customers demand value from their investment in a product. When processed and kiln dried to Hancock Lumber’s high standards, Eastern White Pine’s slow growth delivers tremendous value and durability. Whether the application is interior or exterior trim, paneling, shelving or a novelty project, Eastern White Pine ages well in any environment. After proper acclamation to its environment, Eastern White Pine’s tight growth rings provide our boards with greater stability and less movement than any other product on the market. While there is science that proves why Eastern White Pine performs so well, all you have to do is visit any of the century-old homes on the coast of Maine to see how well their original pine siding or clapboards have withstood the test of time.

Color, Character, Texture, Versatility

In the end, Eastern White Pine provides a warmth and character that people want to be surrounded by in their homes. Imagine the possibilities with Hancock Lumber Eastern White Pine!
