With over 30,000 acres of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified timberlands in Western Maine, Hancock Land Company is a national leader in timberland management and certified sustainable forestry practices. All of our land is open to the public for hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, and recreation and managed for multiple uses, with considerations given to water quality, soil quality, wildlife habitat, and forestry. FSC certification, considered the highest third-party certification in our industry, is another unique part of our land company brand, making our value stream “green” from the very beginning straight through to the final retail sale.
