Hancock C-Select
C-Select is fine finish lumber and the highest of the NeLMA grades.  Used for natural or stained finishes, C-Select is best-known for its high quality interior and exterior trim, cabinet work and fine woodworking applications. 

• One sound, tight pin knot (max. 1/2”) per surface foot
• Well spaced knots, more clear wood

Hancock Select

Hancock D + Better Selects
This grade finishes well because it handsomely displays the sound, tight knots, and natural color highlights of Eastern White Pine.  Material may be stained to show natural highlights or used to give a fine, smooth painted surfaceations, interior trim and fine woodworking. 

• Fine appearance, knotty grade
• Sound tight knots, no holes

Hancock Finish
This grade finishes well because it handsomely displays the sound, tight knots, and natural color highlights of Eastern White Pine. Grade determination is made from the better face which allows small, sound, tight knots.

• Material may be stained to show natural highlights or used to give a fine, smooth painted surface

Hancock Finish

Premium No. 3
Premium's good knotty appearance lends itself to use where a natural effect is desirable or will give an excellent painted surface The grade determination is made from the better face which allows generally sound and tight knots.

• Good knotty appearance
• Used where slightly rougher natural appearance is desired
• Material may be stained to show natural highlights or used to give a fine, smooth painted surface
• Wane is acceptable but must be on the reverse face

Premium No. 3

Standard No. 4
This general utility grade is serviceable for not only construction and industrial purposes, but also for the popular rustic décor. The grade determination is made from the better face which proudly displays a preponderance of knots.

• May be used where a coarser, rustic decorative appearance is designed
• A highly serviceable grade, used mostly for construction purposes

Standard No. 4

Industrial
• The lowest common board grade; allows large characteristics as long as the full length of the board is usable
• Any characteristic that seriously weakens the board for reasonable handling will not be allowed
• Generally used in rough construction, where strength and appearance are not of primary importance
